Those words
“Love you” tumbles out casually at the end of a call, a text message, often ringing hollow. It is a social norm a hurried good bye another saying in a world so alien to real love. The kind that cares in silent listening genuine hugs tear drops of compassion thoughtful touches tentatively reaching out to difficult darkness in daily living. To love is to serve with brimming hearts ready to be stretched like dough waiting to rise in the oven of a warm embrace. Do you really love me? Hesitation dances in minds attuned to hurt patiently knocking on doors locked to an Agape world. Look at me pinned on wood for all to see. You are someone special loved beyond belief in the wilderness of life.

Posted at 12:47h, 03 MarchVery inspiring poem, Viola. In our world where the word “love” is used so loosely, it’s good to be reminded that to love is to serve.
Thank you.

Posted at 12:48h, 04 March“Those words” touched my deeply. I confess that I am often guilty of using them in reference to inanimate objects… food, movies, etc, so I appreciate being reminded of their importance. However, I am also quick to say them to the people in my life.
God bless you Viola. I love you!

Posted at 06:21h, 05 MarchNo more eloquent demonstration of selflessness can be found than Jesus “pinned on wood” for love of us. Thank you, Viola, for sharing your God-given talent to illustrate this ultimate sacrifice born of love, that four-letter word so carelessly bandied about in song and film.
