Two Poems: “Question” and “In the Metro”

How is it that

Such good girls and boys

As you and I once were

Should grow up to be

Sinners such as we?

In The Metro

  I sat beside her

                        On the seat

                        And, glancing down,

                        Was struck by the beauty

                        First, of her sandals,

                        Then, of her feet.
