Glimpses

Courtesy of Brendan McManus, SJOccasionally, when I lay my head,
Upon the pillow on my bed,
And just before my mind blanks out,
I hear a whisper (not a shout),
Of clear but quiet words that say:
Now that you're resting from your day,
I hope you know, that I for one,
Take great delight in you, my son.

John D. OêBrien, S.J., a Jesuit scholastic, is currently studying Theology at Regis College, Toronto.
