O Canada, celebrate
but don’t get cocky.
although you sit on a fifth
of the world’s fresh water,
it’s other countries
that keep you afloat.
all in the same boat
we best arrive & thrive
when every passenger has passage
safe and sound to home
(thus says this land
that shrugs off fences)
and home no one really owns.
