An Act of Consecration to the Sacred Heart

Source: youtube.com
Beloved, my beginning and my end –

Thank you for what you have woven into my life yesterday.

Today I offer afresh my entire being to you,

my soul and body with all its goodness and imperfections.

I consecrate to you my thoughts, what I will say or do.

I place in your hands my anxieties and uncertainties.

Let all my decisions, big or small, be made according to

your values and not my own. May your will be done.

Forgive my failings and all those who fail because of me.

Thank you for the moments of joy that I may experience today.

In my sufferings hold me close to your wounded heart.

Let me feel the pain of your pain,

that I may love you more with each passing day

Love life into me and help me love all those around me.  Amen.

    My dear, dear Vicky –

    Beautiful thoughts beautifully expressed!

Now if you could only do something about the so-called art that often accompanies such prayer, that would also be a gift!

    Blessings,

    Eric
