So What!
To the What-If’s of the world I shout out So what! The chronic ‘what-if’ thoughts rain down crowding out calm clarity leaving one sitting in a paroxysm of fear wondering what the future holds drowning out the glimmer of hope standing on the doorstep of tomorrow. It is a long journey into nowhere arriving exhausted even before you’ve begun. A whirlpool of tired thoughts swirls around in secret disturbing the peace yielding to a negative now. An occasional anxious drop is allowed in the ocean of life, not the endless waves of doubt circling around in confusion. So what, I repeat, practicing mindfulness relaxing in the glow of an everlasting love, pushing those what-if’s far away with a shove of new indifference. God’s grace gradually glides in sweeping away the debris scattered around, and I am whole once again.

Posted at 09:32h, 24 MarchWhat I take from your lovely reflection, Viola, is that the negativity of the “what if’s” we experience can often lead us to abandon a thought or venture before we’ve even given it a chance to take take root. The positivity of the “so what’s” we allow our minds to ponder, based in our trust in the Lord, can lead us to actions we often deem insurmountable or beyond our ability. Thank you and God bless you.
