“For while gentle silence enveloped all things,

And night in its swift course was not half gone,

Thy all-powerful word leaped from heaven, from thy royal throne.”

Social media has – for many of us – become an integral part of our daily lives.

What if social media was around at the time of the birth of Christ?

Perhaps it would have looked something very  like this.

John Pungente, SJ, the editor of igNation, is currently doing research with Monty Williams, SJ for a third book in the series "Finding God in the Dark".

I look forward to your 12 days of Christmas, John. They make me think.I could hear Tom Jackson’s deep voice singing the Huron Carol….but find it bizarre that the angels still are singing in Latin rather than Aramaic. Is that cultural appropriation? How can we puny brain humans(” the creatures”)ever really hope to understand God( “the Creator”)?Maybe we( or at least ME…since this is my difficulty…) have to take more humble pills and just say “THANK YOU Lord. ” Thanks for igNation John.
