Psalm 152

My enemies run rings around me

playing Duck-Duck-Goose

with a crowbar.

I am the gum the step on and curse,

the spaghetti sauce they bleach off

the front of their white shirts with the worst

of their domestic chemicals.

All day long they virtually refuse to like me

and post vile lies about my reality.

lacceyhathaway.wordpress.comI am a shadow in their hallway

that they annul with florescent lighting.

How long, Lord, how long

must I tread liquid feces in this feedlot holdings pond?

But you, O God, are my redemption,

my shower after sports.

You smack the smirk right off the lips

of those who evil eye me.

You send a virus to wipe out

the wicked memories

of their hard drives.

You key the sides of their fancy cars.

I´ll praise your name forever.

Before I go to work I put a pebble

in my pocket to remind me until sundown

that You alone are my Rock;

I´m a basket-case without You.

I´ve got You on vibration

so no one else knows it when You call,

but I feel You there against my skin

and my deepest being itches to answer.

Yes, Lord, as soon as I stop driving.
