Dog

What a laugh

when like a firecracker

going off

we decided the tree

was all wrong we were so busy

barking up!Source: salon.com

We wagged our tails.

We sniffed some bum.

We trotted here and there

blissfully empty-headed,

all our happiness on the tip

of our chilled-out tongues…

It turned out to be the best afternoon

since yesterday.

We found other trees to mark

leg-lifted

and serenade with barks

HOSANNA!  HOSANNA!

and squirrels in the highest

branches.

Yes, how very good it feels

to know God

is one of us…

only a little backwards.
