    ¡Thank God!

warmed by friends

that will go with him to market

and to slaughter;

angels rubbing flanks

with goats;

cows sharing spots

with heaven's otherwise 

white-suited employees–

don't mistake all this 

as humility.

It's called nature.

For the divine is nothing

if not down to earth

and animal.
