Scott Lewis, SJ, who teaches New Testament at Regis College in Toronto, recently presented the webinar series New Interpretations of the Holy Week Stories. He examined the Holy Week texts in light of recent theological trends and questions. During the first webinar "How Not to Read the Bible" on February 23, 2021, Fr. Scott warns of the consequences of misinterpreting the Bible. He discusses the truth of the Bible, which is theological and not scientific, by going through the Old and New Testaments. Finally, Fr Scott invites us to use the Bible as a mirror of the human soul, not as a weapon against others.
