Light

when life gets heavy
and the yoke becomes weighty

when the darkness gets thick
and the day becomes cloudy

when the joy starts to fade on our face
and our back starts bending

when our heart filled with hope
tends to give in to skepticism or despair

we need the light of the day
to alleviate the heaviness of the yoke

so that the day and the yoke
may become light!

Beautiful! Thank you Greg Kennedy, SJ! So right on the pulse, and clear! I’ve always loved that picture of light through the prism!
