Peace

Source: thestar.com
Isn’t Peace one of the greatest gifts to offer a friend?
Peace be with you, He said.
This key piece of emotional and mental health
Is undoubtedly an important life ingredient…

So much so that He held it dear
And offered it to His close friends
In His first words when He paid them an unexpected visit
In His resurrected and glorified new state of being.

Peace … may it be personal or collective
Peace … the contrary of a troubled mind
Peace … the antidote of panic
Peace … the opposite of war.

When panic and trouble wreak havoc
On individual minds…
When war and injustice leave damaging effects
In places and communities…

Peace stands as a pure remedy
The most important one in our lives
The opposite of desolation
The true synonym of consolation.

Peace be with you, He said.
The greatest gift to a friend
The best present that really matters

The best gift that brings order and harmony
To our hearts and minds
And to a world plagued with dysfunctions.
