The Unknown Grace

Source: VHD
Our hearts are full of gratefulness for the positive
That happened to us… the positive we’ve noticed
But how about the positive we were unable to see?
The unknown grace .. the secret and unseen blessing!

In other words, the grace that went unnoticed
To our eyes and mind
Or the positive that was buried
In the dust of our daily busyness!

The daily Examen should also include the unknown grace
That grace unknown to us that saved us from the danger …
The danger to which we weren’t mindful
And the grace that cleared the challenge unbeknownst to us!

Unbeknownst to us, because our minds are too limited
To envision all the daily graces
And our eyes plagued with too many blindspots
To spot each blessing coming our way every day.

And there are undeniably more unknown graces
In our lives than we could ever imagine or notice
And definitely a plethora of graces
Masked behind so much sorrows much easier to feel.

Thank you, Lord, for the unknown graces of each day!

When we leave ourselves open to receive that gift of the Spirit then and only then are we able to truly respond to that word of God that is speaking to us and guiding us through this tangled life that we caught up in. Grace is given to us in abundance [ we need only to won’t and desire to receive it].

Thanks so much Dodzi. I’m sorry that we have not been in contact. I trust that you are doing well. I’m always grateful for your posts. Sitting under the trees here is not wise during this cold time.
