On July 24, 2016, in her 84th year, Elizabeth Buckley died peacefully at L'Arche Daybreak. In the 1960s, she joined the original L'Arche community in Trosly, France. Elizabeth went on to found L'Arche Inverness in Scotland and L'Arche Irenicon in Massachusetts She leaves a rich spiritual legacy to people in L'Arche around the world, and to countless others.
