Out of the whirlwind
God answers Job
out of the whirlwind-
heaven-avalanche of bodies
ripped from home rained down
on heads spinning amid
rock-splitting screams of gusts and groans
the guts of sky a nauseous tumult-
what-side's-up?-overturning
turning over sure-footing
falsely stepped; hail and gale-
force rage against cathedral walls
and palisades skull-like
with dark sockets for windows
where all the glass long since stained
is smashed
the whirlwind implacably
inexplicable
indignant howls from hurricane Rachel
unthinkable thunder
Earth with Earth colliding
in a screech of snapping bones
out of this whirlwind God answers Job...

that's all we're really told.
