Relax

Relax, it’s 2021.
Relax, the damage is mostly done.
Relax, you know, it’s been worse in the past.
Let’s put this new year on the map.

Relax, it’s 2021.
Relax, there’s no way we could have won.
Relax, we were all too drunk for the party to last.
Let’s put this new year on the map.

Relax, it’s 2021.
Relax, the rat race has been run.
Relax, it’s pity it all happened so fast.
Let’s put this new year on the map.

The new year on the map,
greet someone you’ve ignored.
Lockdowns seem a drag
but at least we have the luxury to feel bored.

Relax, it’s 2021.
Relax, it wasn’t clean or much fun.
Relax, and forget all the victory laps.
Let’s put this new year on the map.

Relax, it’s 2021.
Relax, and look forward to what will come.
Relax, and smile right through your solid mask.
Let’s put this new year on the map.

Relax, no not yet, the time has not yet come for us to relax. We have still so much to confront, if we are to beat this curse of a virus. We will beat it , we must have faith strong enough to stand Strong and resilient against all odds that are confronting us at this time. Once we do this then we can say with great Joy. LET US PUT THIS YEAR ON THE MAP.

Fun. Reminiscent of very early Dylan.
