Thirsting
To love the unlovable is a tall order. Yet that’s the recipe to quench God’s thirst. In my own Meribah* like the psalmist I cry Where is God? In the dryness of prayer I thirst for the flowing water of God’s love. Called to be holy moving from darkness to light is an adventure in time, seeking the face of God in fleeting seconds of hope pulsing with desire for a taste of the divine. The turquoise layered sea of dreams stretches far from coconut palms slapped into submission by a wonton, wild wind. Prayers bob up and down on an expanse of expectation listening to a sonata of sounds soon crumpled by waves of doubt. I pack and unpack a suitcase of myriad thoughts allowing the streetlights to filter through the thin drapes of my mind detaching from clinging clusters of a bottomless cup. Lord, I am open to your amazing possibilities staring at me as I sip on the nectar of love. ++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++= *Meribah – place of testing; Psalm 81:8

Posted at 12:02h, 13 MayOh my, oh my; you have beautifully yet factually illustrated the experiences of most of Christ followers. Thank you, Viola, for helping me cry out to The Father the “sound of heart”, that comes up from time to time.
