Helpful Hints

It’s come around again
the time to pause and pray,
leave the busy “iWorld”
and settle in to stay.

Our God is a-calling us
from distractions galore,
the key to a Lenten practice
is to pray, and pray some more.

Those temptations travel along
to tease us miles away
from time with our dear Saviour
who loves us every day.

In our tech heavy life
a real challenge we do face,
how to disconnect a device
and receive that flowing grace.

So silence that cell phone
turn off your iPad
plug into the divine zone
and make God feel glad.

But how do I really fast
I’m hungry all the time,
Just eat the bread that’ll last
and wash away sin’s grime.

Look into the eyes
of all you hold so dear,
listen to their cries
and drive away their fear.

If you stop and think again
of who you really are,
then Lenten disciplines
will take you very far.

Simple and meaningful. Lent does call us to make a little more space to get closer to God who loves us every day. Dear Viola, Thank You for enriching our lent experience in so many ways.

Thank you, Viola. Lent is a time when the floodgates of God’s mercy are opened wide and unless we shut our ears to the noise, we will not hear His voice.

Thank you, Viola. Lent is the season when the floodgates if God;s mercy are opened wide. So unless we shut our ears to the noise, we will not hear His voice.
