Psalm 125

Don’t take my word for it.
Probe your own experience:
those who trust
simply
come out on top.

On top like a mountain
of far-reaching vistas
that delight long-seeing eyes.

Not a trust, mind you,
that’s blind and dumb,
unable to focus and question.
Call that, instead, defeat.

Rather trust that picks
a solid path
and thus places its foot squarely.
That’s how you track God down,
and how God, forever playful,
let’s goodness be caught.

Peace out!
