Ode to Craziness

Prudence is not always enough to bring about change
Even though this beautiful virtue is needed to walk the fine line of life.
Prudence speaks to wisdom, and wisdom, we need every day
When walking the roads and treks of our lives.

Without wisdom in decision making
We could well land into trouble with our own plans
And get into trouble with others.
Prudence, caution, wisdom, carefulness save us from trouble.

These virtues however are not always efficient to bring about change,
To break the conventional and create a new order.
Getting out of the conventional requires a little boldness and ‘craziness’.

And ‘craziness’ expels us out of our comfort zone
To navigate the uncertainties,
To challenge ourselves,
To question what is stagnant in us and change the injustice out there.

Boldness and craziness are like spice and salt
To get us out of the mild-tasting half life into a life lived out fully
A life enjoyed wholeheartedly to make a lasting change,
A life that makes a meaningful impact.

A grain of foolishness to see things a little differently,
A dose of craziness to act constructively
Are certainly a much-needed life changing ingredient
For our own good and for the good of others…

I like your idea of venturing outside the box from time to time, particularly when the intention is for the good of others. Your analogy of adding seasoning to life touches my culinary strings. We need both salt and water to go through this earthly journey God has in store for us. Enjoy!

I totally agree! Much needed change will never happen if we keep pressing the repeat button.

Yes absolutely Dodzi! We need to get out of our comfort zones sometimes, and this coupled with a leap of faith is necessary and yields great results!

    Great job! Thanks
