Born Again

Source: stmed.net
The sealed stone rolled away
and glory burst forth
in prisms of light
dancing in the morning air.
The grey of yesterday
faded fast
in the splendor of today.

She stood silent in grief
searching for the anointed one,
while her tears fell softly
interrupted by a question
“Why are you weeping?”
And then it happened,
“Mary” came the call
and new vision flooded in
as she cried, “Rabbouni.”
Master and disciple
met in an encounter of
sorrow turned to joy.

The rejected one
now the chosen one
ran with wild news
to those clustered in fear,
and euphoria filled all
as they rose with
their Lord and Savior,
who broke the bonds
of death and destruction
in the greatest love story
ever told.

The tomb like silence of Saturday
erupted in a crescendo of sound,
for creation was born anew
in a garden heralding Spring
skipping into new life.

Very beautifully expressed, Viola, the first Easter morning when Master and disciple met in an encounter of sorrow turned to joy. Thank you and the Holy Spirit for inspiring you to compose poems of such beauty and imagery.
