A great poem! I have been retired for a number of years, but back-in-the-day I was president of a CUPE local made up of support staff in Catholic schools in southern Ontario. Every year I tried to tell anyone who would listen that I think St. Joseph is the best model for a union steward. He was a hard worker who cared deeply for all in his charge. Scripture calls St. Joseph ‘an honourable man’. He didn’t crave the spotlight but carried on in the background, giving his best for those he loved and served. Solidarity, St. Joseph!
