St. Joseph The Worker
Joseph— tradesman, laborer, founding member of the New Masculinity Movement, unionized with Spirit and with Mary— has never stopped throughout all of history working for pay equity and equal opportunity.

Posted at 11:55h, 07 MayA great poem! I have been retired for a number of years, but back-in-the-day I was president of a CUPE local made up of support staff in Catholic schools in southern Ontario. Every year I tried to tell anyone who would listen that I think St. Joseph is the best model for a union steward. He was a hard worker who cared deeply for all in his charge. Scripture calls St. Joseph ‘an honourable man’. He didn’t crave the spotlight but carried on in the background, giving his best for those he loved and served. Solidarity, St. Joseph!
