Advent is . . . a Reminder

Advent is a reminder that even in our darkest of moments, something magnificent can come forth in our lives and fill us with immense joy. Every one of us goes through periods of our life where darkness pervades every aspect, and in those times, it may be difficult to believe that there will be light at the end of the tunnel.

The four Sundays of Advent also prepare us for the immense joy that we receive on Christmas from the birth of Christ. The Sundays remind us in our own times of darkness to have hope for renewed light in our lives, to find peace so that we can move forward, to search for joy in our life, and finally to love because that is the core of what it means to be Christian.
